Position :*Sr. QA Engineer* Duration: 3 months Location: Herndon VA Hourly rate : DOE This is for two resources. First resource should posess test lead experience and should have 8+ years experience. Second resource should have 4-5 years of hands on experience. * * * * *Sr. QA Engineer About Enterprise Risk Management (ERM): Enterprise Risk Management technology group supports disparate business functions spanning across credit risk, market risk, analytics and credit initiatives. The applications are architected using COTS product, J2EE, and Sharepoint based on business needs. The applications are supported by a horizontal production support and testing team. About the Team: The System Test team for Credit Risk supports 2 broad areas: 1. Counterparty Risk Management System: Plan, design, execute and validate results for System Test of Risk Net application. 2. Credit Initiatives: Plan, design, execute and validate results for System Testing of up to 6 small (each being single person effort) simultaneous projects. About the position: QA Engineer will be involved in 4 distinct testing phases: Test Planning: The engineer will be required to help in creation of Test Strategy and Test Plan after understanding the business requirements. Test Preparation: The engineer will help in identification and construction of test scenarios, generation of inbound files and generation of expected results. Test Execution: The engineer will execute the test cases and capture the actual results. Test Completion: The engineer will help in creation of Test Summary and Test Incident report. Responsibilities: Understand business and functional**§** requirements and develop test cases, scenarios and expected results based on those Create Requirement Traceability Matrix**§** Execute and test the**§** functional scenarios for a test effort. Work with development, Business,**§** QA, production support and Automation engineers to determine root cause of execution and functional problems. Develop Test Summary document**§** **§** Must have excellent problem solving skills and be capable of breaking down complex situations to discover and resolve root causes, this applies to both technical issues and process issues. Participate in requirements and**§** design reviews. Lead Test Plan and specifications review. Provide metrics**§** and project planning updates for the testing effort. Qualifications: Must-Have Skills: Experience of at least 8 years in testing including**§** test case creation, execution and validation of results. At least 5 years**§** of hands on experience in Quality Center 5 years of PL/SQL and Oracle**§** experience. 3 years of Unix scripting**§** Excellent verbal**§** communications and teaming skills.
