Duration: 3 months Location: DC 3-5+ years Sharepoint experience is a must. Sharepoint Designer (another version of FrontPage) is a strong plus. Candidate will be working directly with and end user customer so they must be able to communicate effectively and work independently. Looking for a mix of 80% developer to 20% administrator - they should be able to understand the tool and could code if they needed to. This engineering role is expected to provide expertise, support and maintenance for the Microsoft *SharePoint* infrastructure. Requiring customer interaction via consultation and administration to meet the needs of the business. Critical thinking and technical skills are also needed to provide the organization with the most viable technical solutions possible to support the business' needs around the current infrastructure and operations tools. *Section 2: Key Job Functions & Duties* List the main 5 to 7 job functions of this position in order of importance, starting with most important through least important. Overall: q Proven experience implementing, configuring & supporting Enterprise-class application systems. q Experience working within a structured (iterative models preferred) development lifecycle & methodology, Systems Integration & Infrastructure Optimization experience leveraging documented APIs & related and technologies* * q Perform production support of Windows 2003/2000 application server environment. q Perform basic production support for the VMware ESX server environment. q Perform production support for the Microsoft SQL environment, as needed. q Provide pager coverage in the assigned environments. q Investigate, analyze, and resolve technical problems. q Methodical approach to troubleshooting application and system issues q Self-motivated with ability to set & meet deadlines on multiple projects without frequent supervision q Able to prepare weekly status reports, as well as reports for technical and business managers q Detailed knowledge of networking concepts (i.e., TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) q Consult with customer to gather requirements and develop system configuration. q Coordinate implementation of systems based on customer requirements. q Provide service to demanding, expert users and developers. q Participate in projects as required. * * *SharePoint Specific: * q *Ability to own and resolve complex SharePoint system problems, engaging necessary teams as required, including Microsoft* q *Able to engineer technical solutions, including prepare detailed written/visual documentation (using Word with Fannie Mae-approved templates, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint), and demonstrate strong analytical & problem-solving skills.* q *Minimum of 3 years demonstrated hands-on experience with the deployment, configuration, and implementation of Microsoft SharePoint (MOSS 2007). * * * *Section 3: Qualifications* List 5 to 7 specific, job related requirements and/or preferences, such as years/type of experience, degrees, certifications, knowledge, skills, and abilities (including technical, professional and management skills). Qualified candidates should have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or experience. MCSE certification is a plus. 10+ years of experience in the technology field including planning, execution and advance support technical and/or business platforms *Preferred Skills & Abilities* q SharePoint 2007 experience q Experience working within structured (iterative models preferred) development lifecycle & methodology, Systems Integration & Infrastructure Optimization experience, while leveraging documented APIs q Knowledge in administration, configuration & customization of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007) and Windows SharePoint Services. Microsoft Office Server System 2007 experience is a plus q Expert knowledge & experience with Microsoft Internet Information Services Experience with InfoPath Forms Design & XML q Understanding of Microsoft Windows debug & performance tuning concepts q Clustering architecture experience a plus. q Experience supporting systems in an enterprise class data center. q Experience supporting systems in an enterprise with - thorough change control process. q Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MSCE) preferred. q Minimum four years experience supporting HP server hardware. Must be familiar with server hardware and software support, including RAID configurations. q Experience with scripting to deploy software a plus. q Minimum one-year experience with remote access systems. q Minimum three-year experience with enterprise monitoring systems. q Working experience with Vmware ESX server virtualization. q Working knowledge of Citrix server. q 2 years experience with Microsoft SQL server a plus q Knowledge of network architecture and troubleshooting. q Excellent communication skills.
