*Sr. Software Engineer*

Client is looking for a self-motivated & skilled, Senior Software Engineer
to drive the design and development of reconciliation framework to support
reconciliation of data from various sources. In this position, the
candidate will support the current architecture and work on taking it to
next level for upcoming reconciliation needs.
This is a very hands-on technical position. Candidate must have
demonstrated expertise in complex multi-tiered application development with
experience in Java and developing large scale and volume-based applications.
*Responsibilities Include*: - Work with project managers and technical
teams to understand the requirements. - Produce and review High-Level and
Detailed technical designs for architecture enhancements and additions -
Review code with developers and ensure coding standards are adhered to -
Work hand in hand with hardware infrastructure teams to debug issues. -
Work with production support to resolve production escalations - Writing
and executing test cases at various phases of the project
*Required Education/Experience:*
* BS degree in computer science or equivalent field plus 5-7 years
experience or MS degree plus 3-5 years experience, or equivalent
* Application development and design experience
* Expertise with a variety of development tools and languages, such as
Java/J2EE, JSP, Spring, Hibernate, Tomcat / WebSphere / JBoss, HTML
* Experience with Eclipse, XML, JSON, SVN, Maven, UML, design patterns
* Experience with development in Linux environment.
* Strong programming skills - Object Oriented design and analysis skills
* Strong ability to learn new technologies in a short period of time
* In-depth knowledge of developing server side software using Java.
* Familiarity with Key/Value systems such as Mongodb, Hadoop, Cassandra
* Strong analytical skills, plus excellent written and verbal communication
skills
* Experience working in a team environment
* Technical documentation experience
* Experience with Oracle and performance tuning
*Desired Experience:*
*** Experience with hardware configuration and working with system
engineers and DBAs
*Familiarity with version control systems such as Subversion or CVS
* Experience with matching algorithms.
