[email protected] Job title : Oracle DBA Location : Denver, CO Duration : 6 months looking for a strong Oracle DBA to help support there global R12 upgrade, need to be strong in performance tuning and issue resolution. Start Mid November and will be for 6 months plus R12, RAC, Solaris 11 (good to have) Qualifications: Oracle Senior DBA • Recovery Manager (RMAN), Flashback Database • Oracle Internet Directory (OID) • Interacting with Oracle support to resolve issues • 8+ years Oracle 10G or 11g DBA experience • 4+ years working in a UNIX or Linux environment • Broad knowledge in the Oracle Database and Oracle application products on Solaris • Excellent communication and documentation skills • SQL and Shell scripting • UNIX experience with Oracle 10G and 11G Database Administration • Proven track record in supporting large number of databases simultaneously • Storage considerations for Oracle Database Performance• Oracle backup and recovery configuration and procedures • Oracle Ability to develop data requirements and configure database parameters • Experience in the following areas is a plus: DataGuard, Golden Gate, Oracle Discoverer, Oracle WebLogic , Oracle OBIEE, Noetix, Perl. OID,RAC, E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft • Strong organization and time management skills • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience • Team-oriented work ethic that includes willingness to help others Responsibilities: The Senior Oracle Database Administrator will participate in the design and implementation of databases and systems that can support the ongoing company growth. The ideal candidate will administer, maintain, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the availability, security and integrity of the Oracle databases. They will also assist in developing and administering backup and recovery procedures.
