Duration :- 12 months * * *RESPONSIBILITIES* - A Team player, able to produce well structured, documented and maintainable code and provide leadership to team to deliver quality delivery to customer - Provide maintenance support for existing software releases to ensure prompt rectification of problems - Porting of embedded software from one hardware platform to other hardware platforms - Closely work with the cross functional team QA, LAB support and other development teams - Participate in, and contribute to, formal Design and Code Reviews *REQUIRED SKILLS* - Cable settop box software development experience - Linux kernel Programming - Strong C/C++, Java coding skills - Strong analysis and design skills - Experience in real time operating systems - Experience with multi-layer software architecture - OS/Hardware abstraction layer development and integration - TCP/IP Networking and protocols domain know-how - Video Distribution Services knowledge [DVR, VOD, PPV, Multi room DVR] - Experience with Broadcom and other SoC chipsets - Device Driver experience : I2C, HDMI, HDCP, FLASH, Graphic, Audio and Video driver, Front panel, Tuner/QAM Modulator driver *OTHER DESIRED SKILLS* - Knowledge of MediaPlayer, MediaServer, GStreamer, QtWebkit, MediaStreamer, Adobe Flash - MPEG2 Transport Stream system - Audio/Video synchronization issues - Home Networking [DLNA, UPnP] - Knowledge of MPEG/DVB/ATSC/DSMCC, 3DTV, MPEG4, H.264, MOCA, Docsis, DAVIC - Design Methodology: UML - OCAP/Tru2way middleware development /integration *EDUCATION* - B.S./M.S.
