*Position: QA Tester* *Location: Sunnyvale, California; Phoenix, AZ; Pittsburgh, PA; or Chicago, IL* *Duration: 8 Months* *LOCAL CANDIDATES ARE STRONGLY PREFERRED* Seeking an experienced QA Tester for a large project to implement a .NET custom built application solution. The QA Tester will be responsible for designing and executing manual test plans, emulating the end user to ensure compliance with business requirements and specifications. This project is to implement a common project setup workflow for multiple business within the client. The selected workflow will have common core elements for all business units with minimal differences to accommodate each. Test cases will need to be developed and executed to accommodate the different variations for each business unit. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manual testing and coordinating QA and UAT efforts for a large project encompassing many users. Must be able to start immediately. The QA Tester will interact with our .NET Software Engineers and Business Analyst(s) throughout the project life cycle. Required Skills: • Good interpersonal and English verbal communication skills for working with developers and Business Analysts. • Good written communication skills for creating and documenting test plans and results. • Ability to execute test plans to validate the correct operation of the custom application and related business rules. • Identify and report defects, verify fixes, and work with developers to ensure defects are resolved. • Experience with Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook; knowledge of SharePoint a plus. • Experience with Microsoft Windows Eco system (XP, 7, and 8). • Experience with Internet Explorer. • General knowledge of web based applications • General knowledge of databases. • General knowledge of networking.
