o XML, JSON, Spring Integration, Continuous integration/delivery
(experience with any cloud technology would be a bonus)
• This position has been able for a while, but he has 2-3
positions open possibly

• Working with databases- example billing systems backend
• 70 people on Lax’s team – 35 local, 25 offshore (7-8 local are
contractors)

• 2. Spring Integration (lift, Jenkins, maven or code repository
okay as well)
• 3. Web services

• Department integration- there is a lot of work to keep this
person busy- they will be writing batches
• This person would spend at least the next 6 months integrating
different partners with API’s

The Software Engineering Development Team prides itself on building
applications that are efficient, accurate, and help the business meeting
their initiatives. We work very closely with our business and often meet
face to face, create requirements on occasion and work on applications from
start of design to deployment. The team is looking for someone who is
confident in front of people and has good written and verbal communication
skills. We’re looking for a motivated software engineer to join our
development team and help move our applications to the next level and we
are currently upgrading all of our applications to the latest java
platform, Spring and Maven 3.
*Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:*
• Designs, develops and maintains multithreaded applications and
SLA driven requirement.
• Actively participates in product design meetings.
• Performs complex bug verification and release testing.
• Researches problems discovered by QA, services, or customer
support and develops solutions to the problems.
• Develops automated unit and integration test suites for both
functionality, connectivity and boundaries.
• Researches and understands the requirements for a product,
including target environment, performance criteria and capacity issues as
well as research new technology or development tools to remain current
and innovative.
*Skills - Experience and Requirements:*
*A successful Java Developer will have the following:*
• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
preferably Software Engineering, or equivalent; or two years related
experience and/or training; and 2 plus years of experience in software
development; or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
• 4+ years experience with these critical skills: Java, JUnit,
ant, web service/axis 2, SQL and Eclipse.
• 2+ years experience with these skills: Maven 2 or higher,
Tomcat, Agile processes, rules engines and Spring.
