*Oracle Server Database Administrator DBA * *Fort Worth, Texas* *Long-Term Contract* The Oracle Server DBA will be a key contributor in developing solutions on complex infrastructure projects to support the Operations Technology (OT) and Flight Operations and Crew Technology (FOCT) IT Organization and related business units. We need an experienced Oracle Server Database Administrator who can manage and maintain all production and non-production databases. Perform backup and recovery, implement and validate backup strategy, and conduct database monitoring, mirroring, tuning, and optimizing. Develop high-availability and replication strategies, and provide logical database design and normalization/data modeling techniques. *Highly experienced in Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Process (BCP) * Qualifications • 10+ years of experience as a Oracle Server DBA in SQL server 2005 or above • Excellent understanding of SQL with experience with performance monitoring, analysis and tuning of relational databases. • Experience with setup and support database clustering, mirroring, replication and log shipping. • Knowledge in table partitioning and archiving mechanisms • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience preferred • Strong analytical and problem solving skills • Strong interpersonal skills along with excellent oral and written communication abilities • Detail oriented, organized, quick learner, self-driven, thorough and respect for quality control Desired Skills Preference would be given to candidates that have experience with the following. Experience with: • Oracle Database Administration • Creating triggers, stored procedures, and complex join statements • Engineering DR/BCP and backup solutions including full, differential, transactional backup, backup mirroring and automated maintenance jobs with alerting. • Database Administration for SQL Server & Oracle installations including capacity planning, installing, upgrading, and configuration and patching and all functions to provide high availability, high performance and high security. • Implement and support of housekeeping procedures such as backups, integrity checking. • Production and maintenance of high quality documentation.
