Hadoop Developer Jersey City, NJ 6 month *On-Site Interview* The Big Data Engineer role falls into the Data Management & High Performance computing team. This position will be primary responsible for supporting Big Data platforms and working on technical solutions in integrating, analyzing large amounts of data. You have to a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment • Design, develop, and implement Big Data Technologies (Hadoop, Sinequa, MongoDB, Redshift, Amazon EMR) • Analyze data, and partner with other internal teams (Architecture, Operations, and Virtualization Team) to identify and implement process and system improvements. • Evaluate data elements from both relational and alternative formats to understand their usage, transformations, lifecycle and quality • Interpret structured and unstructured data, analyze results, and provide information insights to clients to help them prioritize business needs • Develop queries for ad hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting. • Work with clients to understand their business, data, and systems • Identify and define both process and data improvements • Capture, develop, and document data definitions, business rules, data quality requirements, and logical and physical data models based on requirements *Specific qualifications for the Big Data engineer position include:* • Strong knowledge of SQL and other querying languages (Hive, Pig etc.) • Strong knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL server, Teradata etc.) and NoSQL databases (HBase, MongoDB, Apache Cassandra etc.) • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (Excel, R, SAS, etc.) preferred • Demonstrated progression and growth as a Data Analyst through past career experiences • Demonstrated experience with data models, database design development, data profiling, and analysis tools, especially in a big data format • Experience with the full Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) or Agile, specifically requirements definition and testing • Working knowledge of scripting languages (Perl, Python etc.) • Adept at distilling technical requirements from business requests • Proven ability to produce and own applicable high quality deliverables that meet client needs *Waiting for your response…* Best Regards *Ravi Nigam* 978-558-4666 EXT 101 *TekNavigators* 8875 Hidden River Parkway Suite 300 Tampa, FL 33637 DISCLAIMER: This message and any attachments are solely for the use of the individual or entity to which it is addressed and may contain information that is privileged or confidential.
