*Position: Data Warehouse Architect* *Client: BCBS Association FEP* *Location: Washington, DC* *Duration: 12 Month Contract* *Interview Process: 1st Round Phone, 2nd Round Onsite* *Visa Status: I am open to H-1, EAD, GC and US Citizen* *Description:* - Knowledge of all components of the warehousing architecture including – *technical infrastructure, data, ETL, BI & metadata management.* - Ability to analyze objectives and goals to identify common patterns, leverage points and consistent business needs across multiple business units and initiatives. Develop reference architectures and models for the major architectural domains: business, information, technical, and system architectures. Break down business problems and capabilities into projects, platforms, frameworks, applications, and services that when realized, produce software that solves business problems and/or creates new business capabilities. - Develops enterprise level application and custom integration solutions including major enhancements and interfaces, functions and features. - Serve as expert level advisor to business and IT management on architectural and technology topics, best practices, risks and opportunities. - Conduct research in emerging technologies and identify technologies with high-potential business value and specify their appropriate usage in developing business solutions. - Provides design recommendations based on long-term it organization strategy.
