Primary responsibilities include production DB servers and troubleshoot SQL
Server service outages if any occur, including after-hours and weekends and
also cover 24x7 on call availability for any DB related issues, also
looking for a person with the ability to help with performance issues &
setting up dashboards/tools for dba performance monitoring and taking some
support calls.



*TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES*

   - The following bullets are requirements that position you best for
   success in this role.  You will be a major part of how this organization
   grows and these requirements change for the better.
   - Experience in Database Administration activities such as installation,
   sql server configuration, backup and recovery, performance tuning,
   replication, CDC, database security, trouble shooting performance problems.
   - Experience of Backing up and restoring of the database with various
   tools.
   - Experienced in T-SQL, Store procedures and SSIS packages.
   - Experience with using MS Reporting Services 2005 (SSRS).
   - Experience in tuning sql queries using execution plans and analyze the
   bottleneck in slowness of queries.
   - Experience with using PerfMon objects/counters related to CPU,
   Physical Disk, Memory and SQL Server objects and their counters.
   - Experience of using sql server Profiler & various DMV’s to analyze
   slow performing queries.
   - Experience with refreshing test, development databases with copy of
   production databases.
   - Experience with deployments to QA\UAT\Production servers.
   - Troubleshoot & fix daily DB alerts as part of db monitoring.
   - Knowledge of table Partitioning, Always On, Log shipping.

   resolution.

   - Excellent writing skills
   - Ability to multitask several critical issues simultaneously



*EDUCATION*

   - You should be a willing participant in the expansion of your knowledge
   set, as well as, contribute to that of your co-workers to ensure an ever
   learning/sharing environment.
   - BS (preferably in computer science/IT)
   - 5-6 or more years in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and 2012.
   - Experience with SQL Server technologies, applications and
   implementations.
   - Ability to work extended hours including nights, weekends, holidays on
   needed basis.
   - Experience in working with teams of developers and support staff.
   - Experience with Windows server operating platforms.
