*UNIX Administrator - West Palm Beach, FL * *Estimated Duration:* 12 months with possible extension. *Onsite:* On location at the Client's site 100% of the time. No telecommuting or remote work. *Rate-30 c2c* *Responsibilities:* ∙ Install, monitor and support UNIX and web based applications; ∙ Meet with the application users daily to discuss issues and concerns; ∙ Implement application changes throughout the environments in a standard process; ∙ Work with multiple teams to organize changes and resolve issues; ∙ Communicate throughout all levels of the organization and work extended hours; ∙ Administer UNIX based applications, implement changes, monitor applications and execute user and application administration; ∙ Maintain system integrity and availability, interact with users to determine issues and interface with application vendors; ∙ Resolve application issues, interfacing with other IM groups to come to resolution. *Requirements:* ∙ IT experience (5-7 years); ∙ Experience in web / tiered application support (3-5 years); ∙ Experience with Unix (RedHat) supporting applications (3-5 years); ∙ Experience working with execution from the command line and applications running as services; ∙ Experience with networking / firewall design and communication (preferred); ∙ Bachelor's degree in Related Field Required – Computer / Electrical Engineering (required).
