SQL DBA Waterbury, CT 6 Months Contract *Phone then F2F* *Only GC/USC/EAD GC* *Job Description:* The SQL Server DBA/ Developer will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance and performance of all MS SQL Server databases (production & test). Primary responsibilities include: database administration, performance and job monitoring and job remediation. This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment supporting both development and production areas. Must be a self-starter, have strong communication skills, be able to juggle multiple tasks and be a strong team player. This is a “hands-on” position requiring solid technical and T-SQL coding skills. • Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to production systems. • Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. • Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations • Maintain and enhance SSRS environment. • Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end. • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes • Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement. • Perform critical support, scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours. *Qualifications:* • 3+ years with MS SQL Server Database Administration required. • 3+ years with Microsoft SQL Server side development including (SSIS, SSRS, SSMS, SSAS) • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems. • Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization, using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools. • Experience with backups, restores and recovery models. • Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MS SQL Server. • Experience in implementing Operational Automation using scripts. • Knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics. • Experience on high availability SQL Server solutions, including Replication Models and SQL Server clustering a plus. • Experience using BCP, DTS packages and SSIS with MS SQL Server a plus. • Experience in DTS Migration and Metadata Management (MDM): Migrating DTS Packages to SSIS, Package Migration Wizard, and Storage Management a plus. • Experience using SSIS for ETL across different databases like Oracle, MS Access and flat files using tools like SSIS Package Designer a plus. • Excellent communication and documentation skills. *Waiting for your response…* Best Regards *Ravi Nigam* 978-558-4666 EXT 101 [email protected] *TekNavigators* 8875 Hidden River Parkway Suite 300 Tampa, FL 33637 DISCLAIMER: This message and any attachments are solely for the use of the individual or entity to which it is addressed and may contain information that is privileged or confidential.
