*DevOps Engineer* *Location: Chicago, IL* *Length: 6-12 months* *Start: ASAP* *Interview: phone* Client would like to use Hiera with Puppet to have paramterized, role based sql/web servers built. *Goal:* ยท Spin up entire environments (24 sql servers, 15 web servers) with the push of a button Create scripts that will: o Unattended SQL Server installation with all of client default settings o Set up and validate service accounts o Deploy hundreds of com objects o Modify the registry settings for client application o Deploy a set of powershell scripts o Configure the database server based on its role (OLTP, Reporting, Imports) o Deploy all necessary software tools for the server o Create folders and set DACLS Perform connectivity tests to various servers in the environment o Verify NTP is working properly o Additional verification checks when identified Network Card Configuration and validation DNS lookup verification *Required Skills* 1. Strong background in writing powershell scripting 2. Experience with SQL 3. Experience with OLTP 4. *Must have experience with Hiera with Puppet* 5.
