My client, a global, innovation-driven, integrated pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical company has a need for a Big Data Architect for a 12 month contract opportunity. *Responsibilities:* - Define data architecture standards, policies and procedures for the organization, structure, attributes and nomenclature of data elements, and applies accepted data content standards to technology projects. *Requirements:* - Pharmaceutical Experience (Sales & Marketing) - Experience in Enterprise-wide data modeling and database design within Big Data. - Proficient in business analysis, data acquisition and access analysis and design, Database Management Systems optimization, recovery strategy and load strategy design and implementation. - Knowledgeable in most aspects of designing and constructing data architectures, operational data stores, and data marts. - Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. - 7 to 10 years of experience with large and complex database management systems. - Experienced Defining and planning database architectures for enterprise systems. - Experienced leading multiple projects and providing subject matter expertise. - Experienced Working on projects/issues of high complexity that require in-depth knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments. - Demonstrated ability to Coach and mentor more junior technical staff.
