They also program servers by using user-defined functions, triggers, stored procedures, Transact-SQL. They retrieve or modify data by using SQL queries or tune and optimize queries. They help development team with special performance considerations in relation to database design and point out potential design problems. Help/Train programmers and engineers to efficiently utilize the database. . Provides expert consultation in one or more areas for the design, development and implementation of database products and systems. Recognized as technical leader and resource. . Database optimization (Indexes, Code). Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging in relation to database code. . Data modeling and design review. Skills Strong communication skills: oral, written and presentation. . Strong documentation skills required for detailed, technical specifications and installation guides. . Strong Analytics skill. . Expert knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, Triggers, DB design . Expert in database system optimization. Experience/Education/Certification . College degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent. . 5 years+ Significant experience in SQL Server Databasedevelopment. . Significant experience with the Software Development Life Cycle. Primary Contractor responsibilities . Code Review . Code and structure optimization . Design Review . Maintenance Job monitoring and improvement . Documentation . CDO Metrics Development .
