Project Location:- Chicago, IL Duration:- 6+ months Rate:- Open Job Description:- *ORACLE **MDM* Consultant is responsible for working with senior IT leadership and also business groups to define the overall enterprise data management strategy, specifically the *Oracle master data management* (MDM) approach that is aligned with business and IT strategy. § He/she will operate across organizational business and IT groups to identify, design, implement, communicate and institutionalize MDM processes, standards, governance, tool and technology to ensure best in class data quality. § MDM Consultant is responsible for leading and driving the effort on implementing the MDM Solution (for example Product Master, Customer Master, etc.) that fits client's IT strategy and direction, also defining and architecting client's master and transactional data metadata, and the process of capturing and maintaining the metadata for the defined master and transactional data. This will result in the creation and maintenance for client's enterprise data model. § Consults with project and business teams to provide data modeling/management and also technical advice to ensure new master or transactional data elements are introduced, incorporated, and managed accordingly through the company. § Identify and leverage opportunities to continually improve the quality of data, systems, processes, standards, policy and procedures in regards to enterprise data management. § Collaborate with DBA team to ensure the proper logical and physical data model is designed, developed, implemented, and maintained. § Collaborate with BI and business team to ensure the proper development and implementation of analytical data model as well. Position Requirements: Four year college degree or equivalent and >6 years relevant data management experience A minimum of 5 years experience master data management, data modeling and also toolset, preferably in semiconductor manufacturing industry. Proven track record in data modeling for large, complex, projects, also enterprise, data warehouse/BI implementation experience will help. Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills to both business and technical audiences Good interpersonal, problem solving, reasoning and analytical skills Proven ability to document requirements and model solutions. Experience working with technical staff to translate conceptual models to logical models and logical models to physical models. Experience working with relational DBMS (Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL). Experience working with metadata repository tools. Knowledge/understanding of SOA concepts, best practices, and technologies. Understanding the difference between dimensional modeling and entity relationship data modeling.
