Brief Job Description: Essential Functions This position is integral to the information delivery of database systems, and requires the person filling the position to be located at Niskayuna, NY. The primary area of responsibility will be Oracle database administration, including daily administration, RDBMS installation, configuration, and upgrades/patching on Solaris, Linux and Windows systems, tools installation and configuration, and performance monitoring/tuning. Preferred candidates will also have the background to provide day-to- day administration of MySQL and/or Microsoft SQLServer databases.
