Title : Java Developer. Position Duration: 9 Months Location: Oakland CA Rate: $45/hr Corp to Corp *** If this position is not the right fit for your background – Do you possibly know anyone that may be a fit – referring a friend is a great thing to do. Essential Information: Temporary 9 month position (depending upon start date); ending December 31, 2011. Approx 40 hours per week. Work Samples: All candidates will provide examples of production Java code they have worked on. Candidates should also provide documentation samples, and examples of hand-off documentation on completion of contract assignments. Development • Expert proficiency and 3 years recent experience with Java in a production system environment • Demonstrated ability to build and deploy regression test suites General Computer Knowledge • Experience working within Linux environments. • Experience working with version control systems, preferably Git. • Understanding of the role of metadata in complex decision support systems Communication and Collaboration • Ability to meet deadlines in an efficient and quality-oriented manner. • Excellent communication, organizational and team skills. • Self-motivated, possessing ability to work within a flexible team environment with minimal supervision. • Demonstrated ability to communicate implementation decisions to non-technical staff. • Demonstrated ability to package and hand-off code and system level documentation on completion of contract.
