Job Title: Linux Systems Administrator Job Description: Experience, Skills and Knowledge Candidate must demonstrated expertise in Linux, , Symantec (VERITAS) product suite; experience supporting large LAN/Network environment; experience supporting a multi-location infrastructure; experience with AIX, Solaris and VMware a plus. • Ability to work closely with cross-site teams; experience with HP, IBM and Sun server hardware; • An understanding of TCP/IP communications protocol and troubleshooting methods • Able to work independently and complete tasks successfully within agreed upon deadlines • Familiarity with Systems Administration duties such as • Disk storage management • Symantec (VERITAS) Volume Manager • VERITAS Volume Replicator (VVR) • VERITAS Cluster Server (VCS) • Memory, hardware and software configuration; • Expertise with Shell and Perl scripting; NIS, NFS and DNS • EMC and Network Appliance experience a plus • Exposure or familiarity with Intel/Windows systems • Technical Project Management experience • Excellent oral and written communication skills required; 5+ years work experience in server, infrastructure environment desirable and in a financial services environment; Education • Bachelor's degree preferred • 6+ years experience • Demonstrated mastery of previous levels' skills and response.-- *Kevin Swarky* Swarky Solutions -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
