*Position: **ETL Tester* *Location: **Denver, CO* *Start Date: 03/27/2017* *End Date: 12/29/2017* *F2F Interview required* *Required Skills**:* Need a solid Database Tester with some ETL experience and stored procedures **OPEN TO OUT OF STATE CANDIDATES AS LONG AS THEY CAN INTERVIEW IN PERSON** **Need GREAT COMMUNICATION** *Job Description:* *ROLE PURPOSE:* Devise and execute an effective data test strategy that promotes a quality data platform solution. Partner with various functions in understanding business need, helping devise testable data architectures, validating data implementations and creating scalable test solutions. *ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:* · Works closely with data architects, data developers and other delivery team members to ensure overall quality of centralized data platform solution. · Help define, evolve and promote enterprise data test strategy · Understands enterprise data architecture as it pertains to business needs and downstream solutions · Engages in requirements review as well as data analysis and architecture activities; provides feedback from a testing perspective · Executes tests against database objects including tables, views, schema changes, stored procedures, ETL scripts and ad hoc SQL statements · Performs validations using complex SQL statements and other tools (e.g. Query Analyzer, Redgate, etc.) · Identifies, contributes and/or implements test automation solutions · Responsible for all functional and regression testing activities related to assigned scope · Provides testing estimates and meets project testing timelines · Collaborates with delivery team and/or business partners in troubleshooting root cause of issues · Reports bugs/errors discovered per standardized tools and processes · Promptly communicates discovered risk to delivery team and Quality Assurance manager · Looks for opportunities to improve test execution and delivery · Mentors less experienced members of the team *OTHER FUNCTIONS: *Assumes additional duties as assigned. *SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: *None. *QUALIFICATIONS* *KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS ABILITIES:* · Expert knowledge of practices, procedures and principles of testing · Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle including basic agile principles · Experience with utilizing (or architecting) test automation frameworks · Deep understanding of relational databases · Expert knowledge of SQL and database querying tools · Good understanding of data warehousing architectures (e.g. hub and spoke) · Good understanding of master data management concepts; experience with CADIS a plus · Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica and overall testing ETL · Strong communication and problem solving skills with the ability to work as a team. · Ability to work closely and effectively with developers in an agile environment · Demonstrated ability to learn things quickly · Strong interpersonal skills · Excellent analytical and organizational skills · Excellent written and verbal communications skills · Ability to manage multiple assignments, priorities, and projects in a demanding environment · Experience testing asset management solutions and/or corporate services technology is a plus *MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:* · 2+ years testing experience · 5+ years of developing and/or testing data solutions *MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS:* · Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required. *WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:* · PC usage up to 100% of the time. · Office equipment such as telephone, fax and copier. · Overtime and weekend hours may be required. *Thanks & Regards,* *Praveen Tiwari* Senior Technical Recruiter *Sage Group* *W:*+ 732-767-0010 x 113 |Direct: 732-851-1637 | *F:* 732-749-8969 | *Email: *ptiw...@sagetl.com *Gtalk/yahoo/Skype: praveentj101* [image: SageLogoC] <http://www.sageci.com/>[image: cid:image004.jpg@01D26D7E.63B9BEF0] This message contains information that may be privileged or confidential and is the property of Sage Group.
