*Position Type*: Contract *Location*: Merrimack, NH *Duration*:6+months *Summary:* - Develops, modifies, integrates, and maintains software solutions. Designs, decodes, tests, debugs, and documents programs. - Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications. - Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications. - Conducts studies of alternatives; analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management. - May work with minimal or without supervision - Determines and develops approaches to solutions *Responsibilities:* - Complies with architecture standards - Participates in application level architecture - Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts - May performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives - Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms - Participates in architectural design review - Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives - May be required to recommend development testing tools and methodology and reviews and validates test plans - Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing - Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables - Plans and conducts system testing - Responsible for supporting implementation of moderate-scope projects or major initiatives - Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems - Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives - Provides application support for appropriate platform - May serve as on-call resource to support the organization's service and escalation model - May be responsible for directing and monitoring the work of team members - May provide guidance and training to enable other team members to meet/exceed expectations - May have input into hiring decisions - Mentors other team members - Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project - Contributes to the development of organization's goals and objectives - Assists in developing departmental technical policies and procedures - Maintains user/external group and vendor relationships - May assist in establishing project plans for projects of moderate scope - Works on multiple projects concurrently - May establish on-time and on-budget project goals - Plans and coordinates project schedules and may make project assignments - Maintains status of project and monitors activities of team members - Initiates discussions with users or external groups to resolve issues - Works directly with the user community for project definition *QualificationsQualifications* - Bachelor's degree preferred - Demonstrated mastery of previous levels' skills and responsibilities - Solid understanding of the business or function for which the application is designed - Specific business background through training and application experience - Full understanding of the software development process including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution and planning - Full project life cycle experience - Applications/technology knowledge and expertise in one or a few areas - Full competency in all relevant development and coding environments, languages, tools and platforms - 5+ years of UI development experience with emphasis on: - HTML - JavaScript - 3 years developing applications using: - Java - Spring frameworks - Web Services - jQuery - Design patterns such as MVC - Writing and debugging JavaScript - Creating and calling stored procedures Nice to have's - Experience with EXT JS -- *Kevin Swarky* Swarky Solutions -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
