Job Title: BI Architect with OBIEE Contract - 6 months - Philadelphia PA Job Description: • A minimum of 7 years experience working as developer in a data-driven information environment and will also have a strong background designing and implementing analytic systems, ideally in a consumer-facing or web-based business model. • Highly competent in databases, including Oracle 10g, 11g, mySQL, MS SQL Server. Knowledge of Teradata, Essbse, Vertica, MapReduct and Hadoop is a plus. • Must have hands-on experience in Business Intelligence tools such as OBIEE or Microstrategy. • 2+ years of core database administration experience including installation, monitoring, maintenance, etc. • 3+ years of application and database architecture experience including designing for high availability, scalability, etc. • 3+ years of data movement using both commercial ETL products and home grown code. • 2+ years of data modeling and analytical database design experience. Must have strong understanding of physical database schema design for OLTP and analytical purposes, including relational and dimensional modeling. • Experience with dashboards, scorecards, etc. • Ensure proper monitoring and capacity planning framework is in place • Monitor Database Capacity and assist in growth estimations • Review database and SQL performance as part of the development lifecycle and provide support in resolving issues • Review physical data models, data access patterns, and database design as part of the development lifecycle • Review weekly database capacity and performance reports ensuring ongoing health of database design. -- *Kevin Swarky* Swarky Solutions -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
