*QA Test Engineer –* Cisco is releasing its Enterprise Collaboration platform - Quad on its Cloud Infrastructure. The QA test engineer is required to ensure that – · Cloud infrastructure is ready for the Platform release · The release is successful and platform application is running successfully on the infrastructure The activities of the team would involve: · Prepare test scenarios and write test cases in collaboration with Cisco Team. ** · Execute test cases ** o Test performance , response times and ability of the application and Hardware to support specified concurrent users o Test backup and restore mechanism o Test High Availability and document all the necessary failover failback scenarios o Monitoring of Web, application and Database servers during the tests to measure resource usage and to determine any bottlenecks in terms of configuration parameters o Generate traffic using Spirent Avalanche o Prepare Scripts for the business flows to be tested · Provide test reports to Cisco Candidates should demonstrate skills in the following specialty areas: • Have a working knowledge of Web 2.0 applications and related open source Technologies like mongodb, apache, VMware etc • Have an ability to parse key issues, in a large web application hosted environment. Should have an understanding of the cloud test solutions like Spirent Avalanche etc. • Should have a mix of development and testing experience on Web 2.0 Applications. Testing experience is preferred, but not necessary. • Should have ability to clearly and articulately discuss complex scenarios in email, by voice and video. • Should be conversant with and proficient with Collaboration, office and other productivity tools (e.g. Sharepoint, Confluence, MS Office). • Self starter who takes initiative and can help with ongoing and continuous improvement and enhancement of business process and tools.
