Position: Mid- range –*Java Developer* Location: Alpharetta, GA Duration: 6 + months contract with great possibility of getting extended *Job Description:* · Reviews, analyzes, modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support an organization's business applications. · *Reviews and approves architectural documents and/or specifications including business rules, edits, and database specs for web applications with architects, analysts and Oracle DBAs. ** * * * *Required Skills:* · Require a bachelor's degree and *8-10 years* of experience in the field or in a related area. · Familiarity with application servers (WebSphere etc.); Hands-on technical expertise in java script libraries, relational databases (Oracle preferred). · Ability to work in a fast paced environment and using *agile development processes is required.* · *Experience with implementing and maintaining highly transactional web applications is preferred. * · Thorough understanding of software development processes and methodologies and knowledge of the complete product development life cycle. · *Ability to act as group lead and mentor less experienced developers.* · Designs and develops applications in accordance with specs. · Meets engineering, design, and coding deliverable deadlines throughout project lifecycle. · Communicate with team leaders and managers on ongoing status, milestones, and success. · Leverage direction set by architects to ensure consistency across multiple applications. · Able to research, recommend, and introduce new complex technologies consistent with business unit goals. · *Performs unit and systems testing of applications/solutions.
