We have an urgent requirement for Sr. Performance Engineer – Waltham, MA *Position Summary* Our client is currently building a tool that will enable customers to convert data from our client’s legacy J2EE system to its new SOA-based system in Java. The Sr. Software Performance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that the tool will meet its non-functional performance requirements. The greatest challenge to this effort will be data seeding; aligning the data with a predictive model. The tool is going into functional testing now. * Responsibilities* - Confirm the presence, completeness and validity of non-functional performance requirements - Specify manual/automated testing tools to be used - Develop and execute performance tests to ensure that the customers’ experience is optimized - Communicate effectively with key team members and subject matter experts *Job Requirements* - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience - Ability to develop in a scripting language; preferably Perl or Ruby - 5+ back-end API experience; a strong understanding of Services is key - 5+ years of experience working work enterprise Java applications - UNIX/Linux skills, with a working knowledge of admin tasks, etc. - Strong troubleshooting capabilities - This is a performance engineering role (as opposed to performance testing) - A mathematical background/inclination - Great work ethic/ambitious Regards, Tejas Patel River Delta Consulting, Inc.` -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
