| Duties & Responsibilites : | We need someone well versed in EMC Ionix: Service Assurance Manager, Availability Manager, Performance Manager and APG. We have Ionix deployed but we are not quite ready for prime time, we’ve lost a key resource and we are going to be under pressure to get items 1-5 done by end of May, give or take. Skills Required: Upgrade from 8.x to 9.x. Complete disaster recovery deployment, establish required data synchronization and conduct full DR testing. Integrate EMC Ionix with the network maintenance database to suppress auto-ticketing when there is scheduled maintenance impacting a customer’s device. Ensure adequate monitoring is in place to detect issues with EMC Ionix. Address alarm behavior nuances between our old monitoring platform (IBM Netcool Precision) and EMC and work with the Operations team to migrate all customers to EMC. In addition to that, we want someone that is SOLID with layer 1 / layer 2 networking issues because we will want them to conduct an evaluation of the EMC Ionix OTM module for monitoring layer 1 and 2 networks for our customers |
