| Duties & Responsibilites : | This position is going to incorporate a lot of high level system and architectural design, but a qualified candidate will also be required to provide mentoring to more Jr. Level Developers. There will a lot of one on one and team discussion involved in this role (team size is very large: 200 members), so great communication is extremely vital to an individual being successful in this role. be looking to do an initial phone screening followed by a Skype interview to hire. A good candidate will be very technically diverse and will have worked in an architectural role for 5 years. The main technical skills required are Java/J2EE, TSQL, SQL Server, Relational Databases, Tomcat, JBoss, XML, Web Services, and Hibernate. Any experience with Guidewire (Policy Center) and insurance industry experience is a plus.
? In addition, candidates would be expected to operate in a team environment under the direction and guidance of an architecture lead. ? Candidates would be expected to mentor other junior level developers, perform design and code reviews of key components, and create plans for refactoring existing components. ? We also are looking for one of the candidates that have demonstrated and have experience in leading a team of Java Architects. ? Qualified candidates would possess the technical skills listed below. ? We expect that the Heavy requirements are part of the candidates’ recent experiences. ?
