Duties & Responsibilites :	The Junior Architect has the ability to design, develop, and implement application infrastructure to provide reliable and scalable applications and systems to meet the organization’s objectives and requirements. The Junior Architect is familiar with a variety of the application technologies, environments, concepts, methodologies, practices, and procedures. The Junior Architect is also able to perform a variety of complicated tasks with minimal or no direct supervision. The Junior Architect is also experienced in defining systems and application architecture. Years of Relevant Experience: 8+ years software development, and testing. Preferred Education: 4 year college degree in computer science or related field with advanced study preferred. Role Description: -  Proven experience with hands-on technical development work. -  Ability to coordinate with technical leads, business users and project managers. -  Experience participating in development of standards and product recommendations. -  Experience designing and architecting systems as a member of a design team. -  Experience working through every phase of software development life cycle. -  Strong verbal communication ESSENTIAL SKILLS: Strong Communication & written skills. Maintenance of IT System, will encounter FTP failures, etc.   Maintain agency website (dreamweaver or HTML configuration).  Self directed person, not a structured environment.  Able to take ownership of the project and create some formalized methodologies + answer "why did they develop the system this way?" - table architecture, Logic, understand different ways and performance issues.  SQL Server + visual studio-system set up unclear so the department needs help w/ project scope. Assist w/ fixing system OR able to come up with a good stop gap solution. Required Skills: OS: Windows Server PROGRAMMING LANG/DVLPMT TOOLS:  Perl front end + PL SQL (packages/procedures/scripts) + _javascript_/Html HARDWARE:  DB SYSTEMS/ TOOLS:  Oracle 10G AND SQL Server FRAMEWORKS/SLDS/METHODOLOGIES:  QA/TESTING-APPROACHES, APPS:  Daily jobs run + monthly processes that are run for the services.
