Targeted Skills & Competencies:

* Oracle 11gR2 RAC, ASM and DataGuard administration and configuration

* Expert backup/recovery skills with Oracle RMAN

* Experience with Oracle Real Application Testing * Strong performance
tuning skill leveraging AWR and SQL profiling

* Experience with supporting Oracle PeopleSoft Financial and Human
Resource/Payroll Application

* Ability to work as part of a team and manage assigned tasks independently

• Responsible for analyzing and developing complex logical database designs
and data models in support of Information Systems requirements.

• Responsible for identification and resolution of information flow.

• Resolves data redundancy and facilitates data normalization and
rationalization.

• Evaluates and implements new initiatives on technology and process
improvement.

• Develops database and warehousing designs across multiple platforms and
computing environments.

• Serves as SME in all aspects of data management and database design.•
Serves as initial point of escalation for all processing and operational
issues.

• Serves as SME in all aspects of DBMS software.

• Provides mentoring and training to junior staff.

• Assists management in coordinating business area activities and balancing
workload.

• May design, implement and improve workflows, as well as assign projects.•
Leads interdepartmental or interdivisional operational project initiatives.

• Proactively stays current on emerging technologies

• Completely adept at understanding and executing the details across
multiple operations functions within the infrastructure

.• Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.

• Solid technical and problem solving abilities.

• Responsible for supervising staff in the execution of projects.

• May serve as back-up for manager.

• Proactively identifies opportunities for cost-savings and efficiency
improvement.

• Takes informed and calculated risks needed to achieve results.

• Takes an active, visible role in supporting change efforts (change agent).

• Knowledge of all DBMS environments and product interdependencies, as well
as all major business unit application portfolios.

• Leads others to ensure all DBMS related functions are completed and
ensures quality of execution, using trend data to lead continuous
improvement efforts.

• Trains others to fully understand the process steps, expected outcomes
and any appropriate tools.



Tasks and Responsibilities:

* Support Application Development Requests for Database/Schema Refresh in
SDLC * Troubleshoot application performance issues and recommend changes
for the database

* Upgrade Oracle Database and Cluster to new releases and Applying Oracle
Patches

* Build/Configure RAC databases following company standard and best
practices



Suggested Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience- 6+ years’ experience
with Oracle administration and support;

Worked in Financial Services Sector
