| Duties & Responsibilites : | PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Client desires a Senior Database Administrator who will perform database upgrade from Oracle 11.1g to Oracle11.2G. The person must be OCP Certified with expertise in performance tuning, The candidate must have at least 4-5 years of Oracle production and application experience. Must have extensive experience in installing and configuring databases.
The selected candidate must perform the following tasks:
• Install Oracle 11.2g
• Export the current database copy (full export)
• Test the database server to validate DB migration
• Transfer full export dump file to the new server
• Test and validate
• Create, monitor , optimize database performance utilizing advances performance tuning skills.
• Provide on call support which can require analysis and trouble shooting of complex problems
• Evaluate and research new database features , version and technologies
• Perform any additional tasks/functions as directed by the SCDOI Oracle
Qualified Candidate will have:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or business or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years database administration experience
• Outstanding communication and troubleshooting skills
• Strong skills in Oracle 11G, Toad/.SQL Developer, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Microsoft Office Tools
