| Duties & Responsibilites : | The Applications Support Specialist is responsible for the deployment, monitoring and maintenance of the custom applications and associated hardware and software. An Applications Support Specialist is recognized as a technical leader and critical technical resource across multiple disciplines. The individual in this position provides oversight and direction to other members of the applications support team.The Applications Support Specialist monitors the application environments for systems and data security compliance and provides recommendation to the Application Support Team.This position is also responsible for providing Tier 1B Help Desk services in support of the Production environment. The Applications Support Specialist assists with testing, identifies errors, and troubleshoots problems in systems in Development, Test & Production environments.
Skills Required / Desired:
Experience providing application-specific support as well as support of associated hardware and software Required 3 Years
In-depth technical knowledge and proficiency in networking monitoring tools Required 3 Years
Webmethods administration Required 2 Years
Proven ability to interact with all levels within an organization Required 3 Years
Application and system maintenance management Desired 1 Years
Knowledge of application development (Microsoft, Java J2EE, & UI technologies) Desired 3 Years
Experience supporting NET IQ (formerly Novell) Security Management Suite Desired 2 Years
Experience with eDirectory, Access Manager & Identity Manager Desired 2 Years
Experience supporting Oracle Weblogic Application Server Desired 3 Years
Experience supporting IBM Websphere MQ Desired 3 Years
Knowledge of SUSE Linux Desired 5 Years
General SQL Server operational knowledge Desired 2 Years
Knowledge of any Application Monitoring Tools Desired 1 Years
Knowledge of any Automated Testing Tools Desired 1 Years
Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Computer Science or related business field, OR Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and 3 yrs relevant exp. Required
