One of our client, a large Investment Bank that provides corporate, government and institutional clients with a full spectrum of solutions to their strategic advisory, financing and risk management needs, is looking to hire a strong Java Developer with GWT exp or a Contract opportunity in their FO IT group. Location: New York City, NY Interview: Telephonic and In person Job Description The FO IT group is responsible for building applications for the monitoring (review and signoff) of various trading compliance reports by Supervisors of Trading Desks to satisfy regulatory requirements. The team that the candidate will be joining is responsible for a number of applications, including core java, java based web apps and Middleware workflow process. As such, the successful candidate will have an opportunity to work with a number of different technologies facing off against different areas of the front office as well as back office. The successful candidate will need to be highly flexible and motivated to cover the diverse range of responsibilities the position demands. The candidate should have experience in building applications using Java/GWT technologies which support large number of global users. Strong interpersonal and project skills will be required to work closely with the global team of developers to deliver on both projects and support as priorities and deadlines dictate. Job Requirement 8+ years of Java/ j2ee development with the following technologies: Strong application development background using Java web technologies (J2EE, GWT, Spring, Hibernate) Core Java with experience in multi-threading (Java 6) Database design, application design, query optimization, and data Archival using SQL Server Technologies Setup and maintenance of middleware components using TIBCO BusinessWorks.
