*Location : Sacramento, CA* *Duration : 6+ Months* Please note that CDC (Change Data Capture) experience is required. *Qualified candidates must have the following skills:* •Good communication skills •TSQL Programming skills •Experience with CDC •Performance tuning skills •Hands on SSRS/SSIS experience •Migration of instances experience *Required skills:* •3 years of SQL Server 2008 experience. •Experience as a MS SQL development/administrator on large scale software development project.. •Must have worked hand in hand with developers. •Must have experience in troubleshooting complex SQL stored procedures and queries. •Must have experience in writing complex SQL queries. •Must have experience in developing and troubleshooting SSIS packages. •Education: Baccalaureate or graduate degree (MS, MA, PhD) from an accredited college/university in computer science, computer engineering, or comparable area of study. If substituting an area of study other than computer science or computer engineering, include substantiation for equivalence. •Minimum 1 year experience with MS-Reporting Services (SSRS).. •Minimum 1 year experience with MS-Integration Services (SSIS). •Strong Analytical Skills •Good communication skills *Desired skills:* •It is desirable that the Database Designer has experience working with MS SQL Server 2008 cluster including database schema design, optimization, SQL development, failover, replication, XML, meta-data for a period of one (1) year or more. •It is desirable that the Database Designer has a current Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBAs) Certification. •Current certification for Practitioner’s or Manager’s Certificate in ITIL IT Services Management. •Familiarity with Oracle Identity Manager •Experience with IDMS and/or DB2 *Responsibilities/expected deliverables:* •Releasing database scripts to development and QA testing environments. •Proficient in backup and restores duties. •Working and co-coordinating with Developers to do weekly builds. •Do database code reviews. •Create data dictionary and maintain database baselines. •Help developers in developing SSRS reports. •Creating, maintaining, and optimizing database objects (e.g. views, catalogs, and triggers).
