Job description:

v  *Provide thought and subject matter expert leadership in Unix, Linux*.
This includes: working closely with the manager of the Unix team to
implement appropriate architectures to support our growing reliance on
Linux, advising program or project managers in structuring and sizing their
plans, and raise red flags on faulty models or assumptions to prevent
misguided implementations

v  Work with internal customers to understand functional requirements and
make systems changes and hardware recommendations accordingly

v  Plan, design, and manage the deployment of highly available IT
infrastructure and associated support services, including Linux servers,
storage, and infrastructure services (i.e. authentication, authorization,
DNS, NTP, etc.).

v  Develop roadmaps to prepare Infrastructure services for disaster
recovery and business continuity.

v  Develop enterprise infrastructure standards and best practices with a
proclivity towards Linux and automation.

v  Remain current on broad technology infrastructure changes in the
industry and how they may assist with driving down costs or increasing
competitive advantage.

v  Administer VMware environment

v  Manage the Storage Area Network including allocating storage, LUN
mapping, monitoring, and performance analysis

v  Identify, troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues

v  Build automation into daily processes, including server builds,
patching, and configuration analysis

v  Support mission-critical trading applications in a fast-paced environment

v  Continue development of team documentation, policies, procedures, and
standards



Requirements:

v  *B.S. or equivalent 10-15 years hands on experience with enterprise
Linux environments,*

v  Excellent communication skills

v  Ability to succeed under pressure and in fast paced environment

v  Experience with clustering, replication, and other high-availability and
disaster recovery technologies

v  Experience with multiple *UNIX and Linux platforms including Red Hat
(CentOS) and Ubuntu*

v  Experience with configuration management platforms such as *BCFG2,
Puppet, and/or Chef*

v  Experience with *VMware*

v  Experience with *HP and Dell server hardware*

v  Experience with *3PAR and XIV storage arrays*

v  Experience using scripting languages for task automation (Perl, Shell,
etc.)

v  Familiar with Disaster Recovery Procedures

v  Adding and configuring external devices like San disks

v  *SAN storage, backups, fabric, and fabric switching devices, HBAs*

v  *Should have deep understanding of Infrastructure Architecture.*

v  *Should have good understanding of Global Load Balancer, Load Balancer,
F5, DNS, Firewalls, LDAP*

v  *Should have good understanding of high availability, DR & BCP.*
