Provides AIX/Power7 architecture support for customer base . Provides AIX/Power7 administration, problem resolution, and support for customers . Possess strong working knowledge and skill with PowerVM (virtualization), VIO, and NIM . Provides recommendations for and implements system tuning and configuration changes in . AIX 6.1, 7.1 and Power7 . Is comfortable with perl & shell scripting, creating new scripts, and modifying existing scripts to automate processes . Has practical working knowledge of DB2, WebSphere, & Cognos, at the operating system level . Understands and adheres to proper change control procedures . Maintains technical documentation to reflect changes to the environment . Configure and administer Logical volume manager / Veritas Voume Manager. . Patch and Package administration . Printer Administration . Writing shell scripts to accomplish day to day system administration task . Configuring and supporting Domains, LPAR s, DLPAR s . Administer & configure various FS like JFS , VxFS, Pseudo FS .
