Rutherford, NJ Duration: 6 months, possible Contract to Hire Face to Face Interview a. General Description: b. This is a mid-level E-commerce position requiring a minimum of bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or has equivalent work experience. Must have at least 5 years’ experience in Oracle Essbase and Hyperion EPM suite product support. Must have strong administration support skills in Oracle Essbase and Hyperion EPM suite product support in an UNIX (Solaris ) environment and strong communication and documentation skills. Be able to lead and coordinate the design, development, implementation and support of specialized business and technical information technology solutions. This work is in a 7X24X365 data center. On-call and weekend work is expected. a. Typical Duties: b. This person is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Oracle Essbase and Hyperion EPM suite - and will provide project planning and technical support to the application developers and TWAI application business owners. This resource will be the primary point of contact for Oracle Essbase and Hyperion EPM Suite throughout the application life cycle. In this role, the individual will ensure Oracle Essbase and Hyperion EPM suite readiness compliance; propose architectural solutions to support Oracle Essbase and Hyperion EPM suite requirements for high availability, reliability, security, etc.; work with clients to develop and update migration project schedules and provide appropriate communications. Must be willing to handle complexity and troubleshoot various technical scenarios on various software platforms. The work schedule is Monday through Friday (day-time). Some overtime and on-call will be required. c. Required Skills and/or Product Knowledge: • Need a resource fully knowledgeable with the Oracle Essbase and Hyperion EPM suite (11.x ) software. • Four years of Oracle Essbase and Hyperion EPM experience including design, administration, configuration and integration with COTS products. Focus is on the Administration of the Oracle Essbase and the Hyperion EPM suite of products. • Must have experience with installing and configuring Oracle Essbase and Hyperion on Solaris10 Operating System. • Must be able to provide installation, maintenance, optimization, and troubleshooting support for the Oracle Essbase and associated Oracle Essbase / Hyperion products. • Must be able to work with Developers who design, develop, code test and implement procedures to load the data warehouse according to the approved design and technical models incorporating the business rules and data requirements • Document the modified application design, code, logic, packages, modules or triggers in the appropriate tool and update the operations manual. • Will work with a team supporting the customer. • Experience in integrating and deploying Oracle Essbase / Hyperion EPM products in a shared hosting environment • Knowledge of Oracle Essbase and Hyperion backup/recovery procedures, load balancing and high availability techniques. • Familiarization of Hyperion Planning, Financial Management, Shared Services. • Working knowledge of production Web hosting environments is required • Strong knowledge of Solaris Version 10 administration • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written • Ability to produce written documentation (procedures and work instructions) • Ability to work effectively in a team, and with clients • Ability to work effectively in a team, and with clients Demonstration of initiative and results oriented with flexibility and tenacity, and the ability to continuously adjust priorities to reflect changing circumstances • Strong diplomacy, assertiveness, influencing skills with commitment and ability to work in a dynamic cross-organizational team environment • Strong dedication to provide quality customer service • Effective problem-solving skills and inherent decision-making ability • Strong analytical skills including the ability to quickly identify the cause of issues with the system or determine if other teams need to be included in resolving an issue • Ability to manage own projects including communications to customers as well as work as part of a larger team managed by a project manager d. The following skills and experience are preferred: • Prefer experience in an ITIL environment. • Oracle Essbase Certification • Understanding of Various Software Platforms including: Weblogic, Websphere, Siteminder, Webfocus, Oracle, DB2 Connect, Sun Identity Manager, and LDAP. • Working knowledge of other Internet protocols (e.g., DNS, LDAP, Telnet, SMTP, SNMP) General requirements include extensive use of Microsoft Word; along with potential use of Excel, Access, and/or PowerPoint if applicable. Superior verbal and written communication; attention to detail; and strong organizational skills.
