Title: Research Analyst / SAS Programmer Location: Eden Prairie, MN Duration: 6 months Seeking a Research Analyst with excellent healthcare analytics skills to join the team working on numerous analytic initiatives, a Brazilian health insurer. This individual will be involved in data analysis and adhoc projects to support affordability initiatives. In addition, this individual will be key in the methodology development via SAS to support provider measurement and clinical programs. Primary responsibilities include: • Acquire an in-depth knowledge of Brazilian healthcare data from both an administrative and clinical data systems perspective • Methodology and statistical modeling creation via SAS • Ad hoc analysis and data mining • Conduct data analysis, testing and validation activities • Document logic and process, and summarize findings of data analysis Qualifications: • Minimum 5 years experience as a Research Analyst and SAS Programmer in the healthcare industry strongly preferred • Experience in data extraction, data manipulation, reporting, and analysis required • Strong knowledge of healthcare administrative data (medical claims, enrollment, provider data) or clinical data systems (Electronic medical records, hospital monitoring systems, etc.) • Working knowledge of relational databases required • Proficiency in MS Office applications. • Solid testing and validation experience is desired • Demonstrated capability in driving business result through modeling and segmentation implementation, analysis and refinement • Strong written and communication skills; ability to provide concise and clear analysis to management • BS in Mathematics, Statistics or related field required • Master's in Public Health, Statistics or related field preferred • Knowledge of Portuguese language is a plus.
