JAVA Developer || Longterm || Qunicy, MA Need Locals Only *The Senior Developer will be responsible for code quality in compliance with standards; and will participate in all phases of the project life cycle, with emphasis on business technical requirements from development to roll-out of enterprise applications.* *Responsibilities:* - Participate in daily agile and sprint planning meetings. - Work with users to understand needs, then elicit feedback and refine solutions through demonstrations. - Present solutions at formal and informal design reviews; document the design according to change management and agile methodology. - Application development using Sprint execution. - Collaborate with architects and other developers to produce design. - Ensure technical documentation is provided. - Prototyping using (wireframes, user flows) which conform to acceptance criteria of the features. - Provide J2EE best practices to convert EJB's into Object Relational mapping (Hibernate). - Good knowledge of and ability to maintain Informatica Work flows. - Convert existing struts framework to JSF and comply with ADA accessibility. - Develop Web Service integration solutions. - Document technical approach and core design artifacts. - Write and execute unit tests, and document results. - Measure compliance against standards. - Report status against the project plan. - Mentor java development resources. - Able to work some flexible hours, as required by PM, to meet project deadlines. - Work with a disciplined change management and application management environment. - Work within a group and collaborative team dynamic. - Foster Agile principles and methods for requirement gathering. - Facilitate Agile rapid and meaningful releases - Able to coordinate multiple initiatives as required by the PM. *Qualifications:* - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience. - 7+ years technical experience as a Java developer (J2EE, JSP, EJB). - 3 years BEA WebLogic 9.2/11g experience. - Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP) but not required. - Object relational mapping tools (Hibernate). - Work experience on Informatica Work flows. - Experience with JSP, JSF, Spring, MyFaces and Struts front end solutions. - Agile software development framework experience. - Experience implementing Web Services (WSDL, XSLT, XML, SOAP) and REST. - Experience in writing Oracle SQL queries and Stored Procedures. - Experience working with version control systems, such as SVN - Demonstrated experience with Web development, including Web services, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS - Good problem solving and analytical skills in enterprise systems. - Excellent communication skills.
