| Duties & Responsibilites : | Candidate will be an engaged member of a cross-functional agile team that delivers technologysolutions to support the organization’s strategic goals. The individual will collaborate with product ownersand solution developers to refine the user stories into testable acceptance criteria, design and execute teststhat validate the solution and mitigate risk, and develop and maintain reusable automated tests. Thecandidate will be a creative team player with excellent communication skills, high attention to detail and astrong test background. - Communicate test results, outstanding issues, and overall risk assessment. - Contribute to release planning by estimating test complexity of stories. - Contribute to team retrospectives and continually inspect and adapt to optimize practices. - Design and automate test cases at the UI and service layers to validate functionality of solution. - Drive the definition of the test approach, promoting a whole team approach to quality. - Engage and participate in the creation and execution of the Testing Community of Practice. - Establish and maintain strong working relationships with the team and stakeholders8. Partner with developers to ensure appropriate unit testing coverage and continuous integration9. Ask questions to eliminate ambiguity and yield better requirements and acceptance criteria. - Partner with product owner and users to ensure successful user acceptance testing. - Troubleshoot failures to identify or narrow root cause and facilitate resolution. - Must meet or exceed the attendance and timeliness requirements of their departments. - Must work well in a team environment, and be capable of building and maintaining positiverelationships with other staff, departments, and customers.Knowledge Skills and Abilities: - Experience in coded test automation of web and non-user interface applications. - Experience designing black box and white box tests to thoroughly validate technical solutions. - Experience in coded test automation of web and non-user interface applications. - Intermediate to advanced SQL skills and solid understanding of relational database concepts and ETL. - Able to work effectively in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment with members of a crossfunctional team. - Able to collaborate with team to identify tasks rather than waiting for work to be assigned. - Willing to take on work outside of current and/or assigned role - Skilled at using both logical thinking and creative thinking to identify solutions. - Excellent verbal / written communication and influencing skills. - Strongly prefer experience in a Microsoft-based environment (.NET, MVC, Sharepoint, WCF, C#, SQLServer, Biztalk). - Strongly prefer experience with development and testing tools in Microsoft Visual Studio Team System(VSTS). - Strongly prefer experience collaborating and work tracking in Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS). - Strongly prefer prior experience in health insurance industry.· Strongly prefer experience collaborating and working with InformaticaEducation and Training: Bachelors Degree is required in Computer Science with a focus on system/software development andmaintenance or equivalent experience. Experience Required: - 2 years hands on automated and manual testing experience with Informatica. - 1+ years hands on object-oriented test automation or development experience, preferably withC#/.Net. |
