Client is looking for a Senior Systems Analyst to participate in the support of the company’s Lawson ERP system and associated peripherals and bolt-on applications. Responsibilities include working with users and software vendors to address financial application related issues, responsibility for application security maintenance and the annual review process, and application upgrade activities.
After hours support is an additional responsibility shared with others in the group.
Other duties include the collection and interpretation of functional users’ requirements and participation in the identification and implementation of solutions to meet those needs, primarily as they relate to interfaces between the systems, reporting and data collection for various internal and external audit requests.
In addition, the incumbent of this position will be involved in the maintenance and support of 3rd party Windows applications that integrate with Lawson.
This includes working with the functional user groups for installation, upgrades and troubleshooting these applications.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in an IT related discipline or equivalent work experience
Required skills:
VB.Net, SQL Server, strong communication (written & verbal)
• Minimum of 5 years of VB.Net development experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience developing stored procedures and database triggers, database design in SQL Server and Oracle Server Environments
• At least one year of experience in developing reports using Crystal Reports or SSRS.
• Must be customer service oriented
• Analytical thinker able to utilize functional understanding of the various components of financial systems in conjunction with technical knowledge to identify effective and efficient problem resolutions
• Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills; must communicate effectively with all levels of company personnel
• Ability to work well both individually with minimal supervision and in a team environment where the sharing of knowledge is highly regarded and expected
• Ability to multitask effectively and meet deadlines
• Be available for an on call after hour's rotation for systems support
Preferred skills:
• Experience with Lawson Financial or Procurement Suites, versions 8 and 9
• Lawson implementation and upgrade experience a plus
