Duties include:
Assists in the planning, forecasting, implementation, and identification of
resource requirements for network systems (including wireless) of high
complexity. Leads in network planning, network architecture design and
engineering. Integrates and schematically depicts communication
architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling
links and protocols into complete network configurations. Evaluates new
products, performs network problem resolution and assists in the development
and documentation of technical standards and interface applications.
Monitors protocol compatibility, performs system tuning and makes
recommendations for improvement. Independently develop, design, document and
implement new networks or modifications to existing networks.
Responsibilities
Hands on Cisco router installation, configuration, network outage
resolution. Responsible for configuring network hardware and services for a
large enterprise environment. Coordinate the installation of network
hardware, communications wiring, wireless, Telco facilities, communications
software, and other network components.
Skills Needed:
RESOLVING NETWORK ISSUES, CISCO IOS CONFIGURATION, NETWORK DESIGN, VLANS,
QOS, VPN, TCPIP, FTP.
Preferred Skills
FAMILIARITY WITH EMC VMAX SAN AND VMWARE.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: CCNA - DESIRED, CCIE - PREFERRED.
