| Duties & Responsibilites : | - Work with other team architects and provide modular, scalable, secure, efficient and maintainable design solutions using F5 technologies. - Be able to provide alternate solutions quickly given a problem and constraints preventing an initial design from being implemented. - Present and champion initiatives that use F5 technologies to provide innovative solutions for existing problems or to provide new service catalogue offerings. - Provide industry thought leadership on F5 technologies and be able to provide mentoring to team of F5 operators and be able to help with diagnosing and troubleshooting complex issues that will include application level understanding and in depth knowledge of networking technologies and protocols in a vendor agnostic fashion. - Assist F5 Operations team to implement solutions within tight deadlines. - Be able to provide audits on demand on configuration of F5 hardware and software modules. - Be aware of security threats that are prevalent and be able to provide solutions when there are security related incidents. - Be the point of contact when working with F5 support when working on complex incidents that require a lot of follow up. Deliver day to day operational tasks with little or no supervision and support. Skills Required - Ability to function independently by following established procedures, policies and practices when handling questions, problems and challenges presented by customers. Ability to flexibly manage work flow operations to meet or exceed SLOs and customer needs and expectations. Ability to make decisions independently and to communicate effectively. Skills Preferred - Given requirements, be able to design and implement a solution working within inherent constraints on applications and/or infrastructure. - Experience in service management tools such as BMC Remedy, MS Outlook, Orion, Sharepoint and Changepoint. BIG-IP F5 certification. Cisco certification. Experience Required: • 7 plus years of experience in designing, implementing and managing enterprise class network security solutions and devices. • Expert in Design, Deploying, Configuration and managing F5 Networks BigIP • Expert knowledge on F5 BIG-IP Hardware Platforms • Knowledge of F5 iRules (F5’s TCL scripting language) enabling customization of application load balancing solutions through the control and direct manipulation of the application traffic. • Experience in traffic management solutions, including the design, low level engineering, and delivery of new hardware systems as well as application load balancing solutions for client applications across the pre-provisioned ADC infrastructure. • Functional understanding of diverse set of networked applications requiring application traffic management solutions, including HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, FTP, DNS, NTP, ANYCAST services. • Experience in migrating legacy F5 appliances to newer versions appliances. • Proficient in Configuring Checkpoint Firewall, Juniper, and CISCO ASA firewalls. Education Required: - Bachelors Degree Education Preferred: - F5 Certification Cisco Certification |
