The individual will be part of an extended development team and must be capable of contributing to multiple ongoing projects. The role requires an individual who has successfully designed, developed and supported complex data centric applications. Experience with performance tuning, optimization and MVC architecture is a plus. · Exposure to fixed income environment would also be beneficial · Should work in tandem with the Index Production Team and support the production systems. Person Requirements · Application design and development experience. a. 8+ years of experience with a current WEB programming language/platform. ( i.e. Microsoft .NET (C# or VB.Net), Java, Grails ) b. 8+ years of experience with relational database design and development (MS SQL Server is preferred) a. Knowledge of Linux environment & scripting b. Strong systems design and architecture skills. c. Experience with data analysis & reporting d. Good working knowledge of all phases of application development cycle (analysis, design, development & testing) e. Must be able to analyze requirements and formulate a design and or development plan. · Additional optional requirements a.
