-This position will work extensively with server and backup teams as well as the Global Operations Center.
-The candidate is responsible for ongoing allocation of data center storage to all platforms.
-The candidate handles hardware and software issues related to daily storage management


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Functional Expertise

• Connects servers to the SAN.
• Installs and configures disk storage systems (SAN, NAS, DataDomain, Avamar).
• Assists in the troubleshooting and decommissioning of tape storage.
• Manages SAN switches and directors.
• Monitors and corrects storage performance issues.
• Troubleshoots problems and recommends appropriate actions.
• Engages and understands when to escalate according to urgency.
• Works beyond routine nature of tasks utilizing specialized knowledge and technology.
• Follows documented procedures and participates in disaster recovery exercises.Leadership/Change
• May take on several components of a project or a complex component of a project.
• Works under broad supervision, independently and with a team.
• Applies company policies and procedures to resolve issues.
• Follows company policies to implement changes.

Interpersonal
• Takes ownership of learning about new storage software and hardware.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Occasionally presents to peers in a small group environment.
• Contributes to global team efforts by providing technical / process expertise, mentoring and guidance towards common goals. Brings appropriate individuals together to accomplish objectives.

COMPLEXITY:

SUPERVISION:

• Able to document and present to management different IT issues.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience with EMC hardware.o VMAX, DMX, Centera, Clariion, Celera, Data Domain, Rainfinity.
• Experience with EMC Software.o Connectrix Manager, Control Center, EMC Secure Remote Gateway.
• Basic UNIX and Windows skills.
• Strict adherence to company standards and procedures.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor degree in Information Technology or related field required or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 2 years experience in IT

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Background and understanding of IT controls and compliance.
• Experience with regulatory environments including Sarbanes-Oxley, Section 404 and governance frameworks including COSO, ITIL, COBIT and ISO17799.
• Solid PC skills and proficiency in office productivity software (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, etc.)
• Ability to provide off hours global support.
• Excellent trouble shooting skills
