Position: Sr. Project Manager (with exp on e-Trading platforms) Location: New York City, NY Duration: Long Term Contract Interview: Telephonic and IN Person Job Description About the Group Our Client’s The New York FI Pricing and Electronic Markets Technology Development team operates as part of a Global FI Pricing and Electronic Markets Technology team to develop systems used for the Global FI Trading activity. It is a Front Office facing team which works directly with Traders and Business Management to provide high quality solutions both locally and as part of the platforms. The New York FI Trading business has an ambitious growth plan and this is a new role in support of these initiatives. Day to Day Responsibilities Capture user requirements and define appropriate solutions in line with the aims of the business and IT strategy. Advise on best practice for eTrading platform architecture. Produce written specifications, ensuring they are reviewed and validated by users, peers and other stakeholders. Integrate new functionality into the existing platform, both internally developed and vendor upgrades (ION). Produce implementation plan for project and ensure good communication of progress. Work closely with QA team, participate in end-to-end testing and functional UAT. Be responsible for knowledge transfer to support teams globally. Essential Skills & Experience Strong problem solving and analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience of implementing integrated e-Trading platforms based on ION technology Strong and proven ability to deliver IT development projects (Proven experience in front office environment). Efficient ION platform architecture design experience highly desirable, experience managing ION MMI workspace configurations. Working knowledge of UNIX for managing configurations and reading log files. Prior experience working at an Investment Banking. Advantageous Skills Working knowledge of flow rates products ideally, though other fixed income experience would be considered. Knowledge of SDLC and prior experience working on software development projects.
