• Design and code from specifications, analyzes, evaluates, tests, debugs, documents, and implements complex software apps
• Uses coding methods in specific programming languages to initiate or enhance program execution and functionality
• Interface with different departments within the organization regarding new deployments
• Solid experience working with development teams on the deployment of large volume transaction based applications (Java)
• Must be able to work well within a team and have excellent oral and written communication skills since this position will be responsible for dealing with business customers in an ongoing basis.
Requirements:
• At least 5 years’ experience in Java and related technology. 7 years of experience is preferred.
• Solid experience with these Java platforms. Java 1.8 or higher, SOA, Spring, Hibernate, WebServices (SOAP/Restful), JDBC and XML.
• Solid experience in writing Junit, TestNG test cases
• Must have experience in writing build scripts using Ant, Maven, Gradle etc.
• Experience with continuous integration system like CruiseControl etc.
• Must be familiar with _javascript_ing
• Experience in Web application like, AngularJS (Not a must)
• Source Control system experience, preferably SVN
• Candidate should exhibit strong coding skills and have experience of recent application development.
• Software code management and Oracle database, 11G + is also a must.
• Must be able to create/maintain Unix scripts
Additional requirements to be aware of:
• The developer will be communicating with a variety of people, (business, IT technical teams, etc), so they must have very clear communication.
• Individual should have experience working with large volume applications.
• Individual must also have solid testing skills as they will be responsible for unit testing and system testing and assisting with UAT when required.
• Individual must be able to work well with the team, offering development assistance and asking for development assistance when needed. Personable.
• Individual must show initiative and be responsive to team members
