-Oracle Database Administrator to implement and administer databases within a multi-tiered environment.
-The DBA will play a critical role in design, build, implementation, upgrade and optimization of Oracle databases in an AIX environment. The Database Administrator will support Oracle.
-While the primary technology supported is Oracle, MSSQL Server knowledge/experience is also desirable. Most of the Oracle DBAs support MSSQL as well
- Monitor/maintain/upgrade the Oracle database and assist the application team with performance tuning initiatives , and builds from the application vendor
- Interface with business analysts and application developers to create and maintain physical data models based on the logical design
- Monitor and tune databases to ensure peak performance
- Design/implement backup and recovery solutions
- Provide assistance to associates to resolve technical issues, document and implement best practices for the database environments
- Establish standards, controls and procedures to ensure data integrity and security
- Perform capacity planning and projection for future growths
- Provide on-call supporton a rotation basis
- Helping with Data Modeling, Physical Logical Data Model Diagrams
- Implement new database instances, create indexes, performance Tune Queries.
- Install setup Oracle 10g and above
- Database backups, transfers
- Database Upgrade, Migrations
- Space allocations support during Siebel upgrade
- Modify/Rewrite Oracle triggers and links wherever needed
- Assistance in conversion from DB2
- DBA Support for post-conversion
- DB performance monitoring analysis
