-the applicants for this Senior Java Developer must have at least 5+ years’ experience;
-We are looking for a strong and creative Senior Java engineer with a proven track record of developing and delivering compelling and scalable user experiences.
-This software engineer will implement cutting edge web applications for a high volume SaaS platform in collaboration with our Architects, Front-end engineers and our user experience group.
-If you’re looking for work that involves complex problem solving, highly visual and interactive customer-facing products, a large user base, Nerf battles, free soda, and a Friday beer cart; then this is the job for you.
In this role you’ll:
-Collaborate with other functional groups like design, product management and marketing
-Be an active participant in code reviews and retrospectives
-Continually assist in the improvement of process and product
-Work within a Services Oriented Architecture
-Be involved with unit, integration, and functional testing.
Requirements:
-B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
-Self-motivated, creative, and detail oriented
-In-depth knowledge of Java, OO programming, and modern web applications built on distributed service architecture
-Craftsmanship level commitment to quality software
-Comfort traversing the whole Java and Web stack: client-side through the persistence layer
-Proficiency in designing and consuming RESTful APIs and associated technologies such as JSON, XML, HTTP client, OpenID, OAuth.
-Actively experimenting with new technologies
-Ability to profile, optimize, and tune for performance
Bonus points for:
-Experience with front-end web technologies: _javascript_, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, etc.
-Experience developing in a large-scale SaaS environment
-Experience with Agile methodologies including Scrum or Kanban
