*C#, .NET, web services, WCP, WPI, SQL, designed tables, API’s, web services, object orientated, RESTFUL Platform, Azure (plus), batch processing, stored procedures.* *Irvine, CA. * *Need LOCAL candidates for an INperson..* Position Summary: The Software Engineer is a key member of the Data Access Platform, Data Services Engineering Team that is responsible for supporting back-end data services for Kelley Blue Book products teams. This position will require the individual to work in collaboration with other KBB teams to build, support and enhance data services API QA testing framework to enable consumer and industry applications. Position responsibilities: • Develop QA automation tool for APIs. • Create and perform unit testing utilizing nUnit (or other testing framework). • Participate with QA team on creation and execution of test plan and test cases. • Create use cases to support new features and regression testing. • Create and maintain documentation related to development, procedures or test plans as needed. • Translate complex functional and technical requirements into scalable testing framework. • Define and implement technical solutions that are repeatable and computer automated. • Work in an agile environment where collaboration is vital in solving business problems. • Assess new initiatives to determine technical sizing and time estimates for completion. • Coordinate release activities with the Product, Operations and TDI Engineering teams. • Participate in projects through various phases • Participate in the coordination effort of tasks and priorities for work within a software development cycle. • Perform other related duties, as assigned. Essential skills, knowledge and abilities: • Working knowledge of C#, .NET, Web Services (WCF, Web API), and SQL Server. • Experience in *consuming API (dynamic link library (DLL))* • Professional experience with database (schema, store procedures, table functions) and web services testing (SOAP UI, Fiddler, JSON). • Experience in object oriented design in a .NET framework. • Experience consuming *APIs, and RESTful Web Services.* • Experience with design patterns. • Microsoft Azure knowledge is a plus. • Passionate about writing high-performance, reliable and maintainable code. • A self-starter who is motivated by continuous learning and development. • Results oriented with a strong ability to prioritize and deliver results. Must be able to adapt to changing requirements and priorities. • Must have strong oral and written communication and customer service skills. • Strong collaborator and team player across internal and external team members. • Strong problem resolution, analysis and troubleshooting skills. • Must be able to work in a fast-paced corporate environment. • Minimum of 3 years of clearly demonstrated experience developing efficient and scalable software solutions. • Able to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. • Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
